Everybody wants to go to heaven

I think I can safely say that everybody wants to go to heaven after his or her journey on earth is over. The majority of people assume because Jesus died for them and they got saved /born again that they have a free pass to live their lives as they wish.

The truth is once you are saved you HAVE to live by Gods word.
Scripture tells us in Romans 12:2 (New International Version)
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Amplified Bible) says it like this:
Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

This means we have to read, hear, learn, and live by His way. Yes you are forgiven if you ask to be forgiven, you’re then suppose to turn from that sin. So you cannot repeat the Same sin over and over and expect to be forgiven. When you know you’re doing something against His word yet you continue to do it any way you’re not respecting yourself and you are surly not living by His word. Each and every person is going to meet the creator of the universe and be expected to answer for all their actions one day. So be cautious in your thoughts and actions.

Sin feels good. But the pleasure is only temporary! There is ALWAYS a price for it, it is never free!!!

Romans 6:23 (New International Version)
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in[a] Christ Jesus our Lord.

(Amplified Bible)
For the wages which sin pays is death, but the [bountiful] free gift of God is eternal life through (in union with) Jesus Christ our Lord.

You see, the enemy likes to seduce people with temptation; where he tries to get us to fulfill legitimate desires in illegitimate ways.

After we are born again/ saved we still have the same scars. We still look the same on the outside. But the more you learn the word of God the more you want to please Him. You become more attractive to others. The basics of God’s word tells us to love one another, and who doesn’t like being around a happy loving person? Life is also easier when you look at people and situations through the eyes of love.
