Stomach Soothing Tea

A warm or cool cup of this herbal infusion helps to banish indigestion.

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon dried linden flower

dash dried dandelion root

dash dried citrus peel

dash dried peppermint

pinch dried chamomile

pot of boiling water

Preparation:

Mix herbs in a teapot. Pour boiling water over the mixture and steep.

Dosage: 1 cup, warm or chilled

Lemon Balm Cordial

Ingredients:

• 1 tablespoon eyebright
1 tablespoon bilberry leaf
1 tablespoon blueberry
1 tablespoon goji berries
1 whole prune
1 pint boiling water

Preparation:
• Combine ingredients in a large jar. Shake.
Let steep for 2 weeks. Strain.
Dosage: 2 teaspoons in 4 ounces water, up to 6 times a day.

Love Dove Cupid Candies

Have a sweet tooth? Here’s a tasty low cal recipe you might like.

You’re going to need the following
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups melted extra virgin coconut oil (available in natural foods stores)
1/4 cup organic raw almond butter

1 dropper Liquid Stevia Vanilla Crème (available in natural foods stores and online)

1 dropper Liquid Stevia Milk Chocolate (available in natural foods stores and online)

4 tablespoons agave nectar (available in Mexican grocery stores and online)

1 tablespoon organic vanilla

6 packets or 3 teaspoons Stevia Plus powder

2 teaspoons cinnamon

3/4 cup roasted carob powder

1/4 cup organic hemp seeds (available in natural foods stores and online)

1/4 cup almond meal

1/4 cup unsweetened coconut

Preparation:

To melt coconut oil, place jar in warm water, or measure 1 1/2 cups into a saucepan and warm on low heat until just about melted.

In a medium bowl, combine melted coconut oil and almond butter, stirring until blended. Whisk in both liquid stevias, agave and vanilla. Stir in stevia powder until evenly blended. Add in cinnamon and stir until evenly blended. Slowly stir in carob, 1 tablespoon at a time. The mixture should still be slightly runny. Add almond meal, hemp seeds and coconut. The mixture should still run off the spoon, but very slowly.

Spoon mixture into mini-cupcake trays, filling paper liners halfway. Chill in freezer for 15 minutes. When the candies are set, pop out of tray and store in a freezer-safe container.

Roasted Asparagus

Hey y’all! I thought it might be a good idea to share Healthy Recipes for those of you who want to eat, be, look, and feel better. As the title indicates this one is for Roasted Asparagus…
It’s easy serves 4, it cooks and is ready in 30 minutes.
You will need the following…
Ingredients:
1 bunch asparagus (about 1 pound), ends trimmed

3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil

1 1/2 tablespoons minced garlic

sea salt, to taste

freshly ground black pepper

1-2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

In a large baking dish, toss the asparagus with the olive oil and garlic. Season lightly with sea salt and pepper.

Bake until the asparagus are tender and lightly browned, 15 to 20 minutes, depending upon the thickness of the stalks.

Remove from the oven and toss with lemon juice and enjoy!

Are you over weight?

Obesity is an epidemic in America today. It is the main cause for high insurance rates, the rising cost of health care, and several mental and physical problems. In America today nearly 50 % of children between the ages of 12 and 21 are not considered vigorously active. And our children are increasingly Obese.

Our junk food eating, game boy playing, sedentary lifestyles have gotten us in trouble. Americans are putting on more weight which causes a myriad of problems that are preventable, and/ or reversible.

Obesity is partly caused by genetics, but although geens play a role they are not the end all and be all. Yes they may make it tougher for the 10 – 20 % of people who fall into that category to loose and keep weight off. Genetics may load the gun, but environment pulls the trigger. Your environment plays a critical roll here.

If you shed just 5% of your body weight you can add years to your life.

Diets DON’T WORK! You loose the weight then you go back to your old behavior, putting that dangerous giggle back on your waist line AND your behind. So what can you do about it?

Rule #1. Be patient. Don’t go for broke. You didn’t gain all your access weight overnight, so don’t expect to loose it over night. Fast is not good. Radical changes are not necessary. It’s best to loose small amount s over time. Fast excessive weight loose may consist of muscle or bone. New evidence seems to show that yo-yo dieting (gaining and loosing) could be harmful to your immune system.

Obesity causes heart disease, diabetes, and even cancer. Fat not only causes people to balloon out but also attaches to your vital organs, which is very dangerous. A little fat is good because it provides energy. But access fat is detrimental to your health.

The good news is obesity is referable. Within a few weeks of adopting a more active lifestyle vs. a sedentary one you will start to see and feel changes for the better. Also your life expectancy curve changes. Yip-eeeeeeeeee!!! 🙂

In order to be successful you have to look at the Whole picture. Make changes that you can sustain for the long haul.

There are four types of people…

There are “waiters”, ppl who are always waiting, They enjoy waiting, b/c waiting shifts the responsibility from YOU. And it says “If the Lord wanted me to have it, He would give it to me. If the Lord wanted me to do this, He would do it for me. If the Lord wanted so and so He would…” That way you can blame God… “It’s not my fault things didn’t work out , It’s noy my fault it didn’t happen, I was just waiting on the Lord.”

You’re not waiting on the Lord. First of all those that wait upon the Lord Renew their strength, They don’t sit back passively, they mount up on wings like egales, they Run and are not weary they walk and are not faint…. You can’t sit back and wait on the Lord. What do u expect, Him to ring the door bell? You gotta get UP and go after what you want! You gotta be radical. If you want something for the Lord you gotta go after it!

Then you have the “Wishers” They have a positive attitude, they got a dream, they know what they want, they don’t know how to bring it to pass, they just wish, they just send out positive vibes through the air. “I just wish things were better, I just wish my children were saved, I wish I had a husband/wife … These are the ppl that wish for things but don’t do anything about it. Wishers. You will never get what God has for you by wishing. There is only one group of ppl that God is looking for to bless and that is…

The Workers. “I may not have it yet, but I’m workin on it. I may not be there yet, buit I’m workin on it. I may not have mastered it, but I’m working on it. I may not be out of the woods, but I’m workin on t. I may not feel good Right now, but I’m working on it. I might now can walk yet, but I’m workin on it. I’m not just praying about it”… What are YOU working on? The Bible says “What so ever he doith shall prosper.” If you don’t DO anything you don’t have anything for God to prosper.

It’s only a matter of time before what you’re Working on comes to pass. But wait, you have to know the moment God starts working on something the sorcerer will ALWAYS do something to stop you from getting what God said you could have! But what sin did about grace did much More about. God wants to bless you. So Praise Him, sing His glory. Faith without works is DEAD! When you sow it, call those things that are not as though they were. If God started it He will finish it.

LOVE is simple really. And I’m not talking about how people use that word for just about everything, I’m talking about TRUE GENUINE Love that takes you over. Love is your hearts natural state of being. Love is easy, Uncomplicated, it takes no record of wrongdoing; it’s loyal, giving, patient, and kind. Love is self-less, and DELIGHTS in truth and honesty. It’s also FUN and playful. 🙂

It’s the RESISTANCE to love which causes the negative feelings like fear, mistrust, anger, jealousy, etc.

Hearts are fragile though. They need to be taken care of, but not guarded. They can be bruised and even broken. Both are painful. In attempt to prevent further pain people wrap barbed wire around their hearts. That only robs them of the joy they are meant to have. So the next time you feel that little tickle, or those butterflies (the start of something special) give yourself permission to love and be loved. I promise it is worth it! 🙂 ♥♥ ♥
